Trish Van Veen, Director – New York
Trish Van Veen is not your ordinary researcher. A Dutch-Canadian dual citizen, she has traveled, lived, and worked all over the world. Trish joined Flamingo London in 2006, but soon agreed to leave behind all of her favorite markets (and pubs) to help open the Flamingo New York office. An experienced researcher with 7+ years in the industry, Trish has led many diverse Global accounts across a variety of categories including mobile, media, social marketing, web 2.0, clothing/apparel, CPG, and has spent a lot of time pondering the cultural meaning of Irish sausages! Her synergy of experience and expertise reinforce the variety of perspectives, insights, and acuity of the contributions brought to everything she does. Trish is a champion of alternative and innovative methodologies here at Flamingo, including digital diaries, self-ethnographies, online focus groups, and is currently chasing the elusive long-term brand panel. When she’s not busy being all research-y (it’s a word), you might find Trish exploring the NYC speakeasy bar scene, staring at a map trying to figure out which country to visit next (only 162 left to go!), or making long-distance calls to her dog Brick!
