Adam English, Director – London
Prior to joining Flamingo in late-2002, Adam worked as an audio-describer, making films and television programmes accessible for blind people. He has a degree in Modern Languages and European Studies (German and Italian) from the University of Bath. In his year abroad, he studied cinema and theatre in Siena and worked as a waiter in Lindau. He’s obsessed with movies: following an MA in Cinema and Television Studies, he made several internationally-despised short films in which people swear and get smacked about a lot. His favourite film is 'The Adventures of Baron Munchausen', but no-one understands why. He loves aquariums but, paradoxically, fears fish.
