Sophie Levan, Associate Director – New York
Sophie arrived at Flamingo in 2003 via the yin and yang of a Masters degree in Religion (University of Manchester) and a couple of years at a small creative ad agency in London. Since then she has been able to indulge her interest in ‘how the world works’ by thinking about such diverse things as perceptions of beauty and femininity amongst Chinese women; the role of the pick-up truck in American life; and the significance of the sausage in perceptions of Irish-ness. In 2007 Sophie became one of the original team members of the Flamingo New York office and took to Manhattan life like a duck to water. When not working, Sophie can often be found up a hill chanting Om.
