Joseph Bosco – Asia
Joseph Bosco is an economic anthropologist who has done fieldwork in Taiwan and Southern China. I am also interested in consumer culture and have done research on fads in Hong Kong and on the marketing of beauty products such as soap and shampoo in China. My job also brings me to research family factories in rural Taiwan, and Chinese popular religion. I speak Mandarin and basic Hokkien and Cantonese plus Spanish, French, Italian and of course English. I am happy to talk about youth culture in Hong Kong, China (Guangzhou) and Taiwan.
